    Greetings, all...

I went and got a car wash today - and was hoping that it would take care of the normal winter salt and grime that was on my car, along with these streaks that I have on the car. I have a feeling the streaks are from NOT getting a drying job as part of my previous car wash, and that the streaks are remnants of soap/wax/etc.

However, the streaks did not come off with today's car wash - and it appears that there will need to be a bit more "elbow grease" involved in the attempt to get them off.

    However.

I live in an apartment, I do not have a garage - and certainly one that is not heated.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to:

    • where I might find a place where it's NOT 15 degrees to work on this myself
    • a reputable auto detailing firm that could take care of this for me
    • other suggestions on how to deal with this?

The "stuff" comes off - but its rather stubborn. I was able to scrape it off with a thumbnail covered by a cloth, but I have a feeling this is going to be beyond what I myself can do - given my location and the current climate.

    Thanks in advance.

    This is all set.
I just took it to the dealer where I got the car, and they took a look at it.

We were able to take care of it for the most part, but due to the cold temperatures we're going to have to look at it again when it warms up a bit.

For what it's worth, Fischer Honda rocks. They have an excellent service department, and quick turnaround - even a shuttle ride to work and back for free.

They also give you free oil changes for the life of your car, if you buy a new car from them.
