I saw this as I was walking my dogs this morning. Also, all of the planters and the trash can were kicked over in front of the Tap Room.
I managed to upright the planters, but wasn't able to take care of the trash can with the dogs in hand.
Anyone know what this is all about?

Perhaps a new viral ad campaign of some sort. Maybe there's a new movie coming out called "Racist Asses."
Ugh, this kind of thing is SO upsetting. I don't understand the urge to destroy. And why against the Tap Room -- why single out their business?!? Is there anything we can do?
As I wrote this, feeling so angry and frustrated, a little family of chipping sparrows (including fluffy babies) just hopped by my open door at work. Guess it's not such a bad world, if you open your eyes.
Someone smashed one of the large windows out of the Smith Furniture building the same night too. Other flower pots were turned over around downtown as well. It seems that this was not limited to the Tap Room, but they did get the clearest message, what ever it means (so I guess it wasn't that clear then...).
There were claims of improper behavior on the part of one of the bartenders toward one of the patrons. The "patron" was wandering around trying to cage drinks and had not spent a dime. Her claim is that when she spoke to the bartender he was extremely drunk and did something of a lewd nature. The police were called. No charges were pressed. Had the bartender been drunk the police would have ticketed both him and the owners.
A short time afterward the grafitti and vandalism started. The "patron" went to city council claiming, among other things, that she had been discriminated against.
The broken glass at the Smith Funiture Building was probably not related. That was broken much earlier in the day (if it was the same day). I spotted the broken glass at approximately 8 pm, I reported it to the non- emergency line of the YPD and waited 40 minutes for the police to show up While waiting, I spoke with some of the locals who said that they had noticed it earlier that evening.
